Ardtara Country House Hotel
Ardtara Country House Hotel is nestled in ten wooded acres and the nineteenth century country house has been lovingly restored to provide guests with an authentic experience.
Ardtara was built as a family home by Harry Jackson Clark during the reign of Queen Victoria and now accommodates visitors in the comfort and style of a bygone era – with all the modern conveniences. The nine individually designed guest rooms are exquisitely decorated, each with cosy working fireplaces, the best of modern king size beds, en-suite bathrooms with high pressure showers and mood-enhancing owner-collected antiques.
Ardtara Country House Hotel is conveniently located in Upperlands, within 30 minutes of all the scenic attractions of the North Antrim coast and Giant’s Causeway.
Ardtara Country House Hotel has won numerous awards over the years, most recently it has been awarded for customer service excellence by Restaurants Association of Ireland and named AA Guest Accommodation of the Year Northern Ireland 2017.
Fine Dining Finesse
The Clark Room is in keeping with the 19th Century heritage with its stunning panelled walls depicting hunting scenes and featuring the original gun cabinet, now used to display glassware.
The experience of dining in a country house is very unique, guests are greeted on arrival with a warm welcome and seated in the lounge, by the open fire, where they are served drinks and are invited to browse the menu before being seated in the Clark Room to dine. View our menus here
